The
property is in a small hamlet formed by the grouping of
original farm buildings at the end of a long drive in
a delightful rural position well away from busy roads.
Martin, a retired musician and Halla, his Icelandic wife
are
eager for others to share the restful and welcoming atmosphere
of Woodpecker Barn.
There
is a wealth of excellent walking in the vicinity, golfing
facilities, many National Trust properties (including
Knole House and the homes of Winston Churchill and Rudyard
Kipling ) and numerous other places of interest situated
around Kent and Sussex. Close by is Bewl Water which offers
various water sport activities along with fishing and
bike riding.
Both of our suites consist of a bedroom, lounge and shower room. There are bathrobes, L'Occitane toiletries and fine quality towels and bed linen.
Local and home grown produce are a feature at breakfast with free range eggs from rare breed hens, sausage & bacon from Renhurst Farm and jams & marmalade made by Halla.
Seasonal fruit from our garden includes raspberries, strawberries, blueberries and figs. The apples and pears are used to make juice.
